FAQ's

Do you really work on a "no grant, no fee basis"? How can you do that?

Yes, we really do!

We're confident in our ability to deliver results for your mission, so we don't worry about charging an up-front fee.

Our team are driven by faith and  the desire to help you make a real difference in the lives of the individuals and also within the communities of those you help.

That's why we focus on helping welfare-focused charities and CIC's where the transformational impact of their work is clear to see.

We operate under contract with our clients and have close working partnerships over the long-term. We don't just write one or two grant applications for our clients - we become an extension of their team and take on the responsibility for their grant fundraising efforts on an ongoing basis.

When we meet with you, we will explain more about how we handle payment, but please rest assured, we make sure there is no risk to your organisation's reserves at any time. We take the risk, so you don't have to.

We love working this way and our happy clients appreciate it too!

Are there any types of charity or nonprofit organisation you can't help?
Delivering results is of upmost important to us and our clients, so we currently prioritise work in three key areas where we are confident we can deliver.

As a small team, we have a specific expertise in helping charities (and CICs provided they’re limited by guarantee) whose objectives or projects relate directly to:

1. The prevention and relief of poverty
2. The advancement of health and of saving lives
3. The relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage

We define the organisations we support as  ‘welfare organisations’ and the projects we seek funding for as ‘welfare projects’.

These are the organisations and projects we are able to help at present.

Whilst we value the importance of nonprofit organisations who focus on the advancement of:

- Education
- Religion
- The arts, culture, heritage, science
- Amateur sports
- Environmental protection or improvement
- Animal welfare
- Human rights
- Other charitable objectives

We don’t currently have capacity to support organisations whose objectives fall under these categories unless they also have objectives and projects that fall within one or more of our three priority areas.

In some cases, subject to capacity and being confident that we can deliver results, we may support welfare projects led by organisations whose objectives are not solely/exclusively welfare.

For example; we may help churches who run a debt centre and a social club for the elderly, to access funding for these activities.

Our team have a specialism in supporting Christian churches and charities, thus we may accept requests for support from these organisations.

Our organisation is new or just starting out, can you help us?

We love helping grass-roots charities and CIC's who are just getting started.

For our team to be able to help, we do, however require a few key things to be in place:

1) One year's accounts/returns submitted (on time)
2) Two signatories on your bank mandate
3) Three unrelated trustees/directors

If you have been constituted for two years or more, you must have submitted up to date returns to the Charity Commission (if a registered charity) and to Companies House where applicable.

If you're not quite there yet, please come back to us when you're ready. We hope to help you when the time is right!

Why do you need to know our annual turnover?

We currently prioritise supporting small organisations that have less than £300k annual turnover when we start working with them.

Asking you for this information helps our team to assess our ability to support you as quickly as possible.

What happens once I submit the Contact form?

A member of our team will take a look at your submission and come back to you as soon as possible.

During peak periods this may take a few days. Please bear with us, we will always respond to you once your form is received.

Subject to capacity, our team will arrange a call with you to discuss your requirements further, and at this point we will answer any questions you may have about how we work with our clients. We'll also want to know lots about you and your organisation, to help make sure we understand and can meet your requirements.

We work under a contract arrangement with all our clients, so if we're all happy to go ahead, we'll send you this document for you to read before considering you officially "a client".

We will handle all aspects of the grant research, writing and monitoring process. All you'll need to do is answer our questions and send off your submissions once you've checked them through.

Is there another way I can contact you?

If you are a prospective client, please note that all enquiries are handled through this Contact Form to ensure we can respond and manage our communications with you as efficiently as possible.

Of course, once we've responded, you will have access to our team's inbox and we will liaise directly from then on!

Thank you for your understanding. Our team is committed to focusing their time on helping clients, so we keep things as simple as possible for everyone using this process.

If you're looking to talk to us about something other than grant fundraising, please contact us via our LinkedIn profile.

We regret we do not respond to unsolicited sales emails or messages as our team are busy writing bids for our clients, and we are blessed to have a wonderful network who can provide the services we need, when we need them.
